We woke up Wednesday morning with power back on ... yea! Then we heard the news of tsunami in Samoa and quickly checked our atlas to see just how far and in what direction we were from the storm. Thankfully, we are not in the path, and everything here is fine. We did have some rough waters surrounding us yesterday, and today the internet service has been up and down (mostly down) which I imagine is due to the weather. Our ITP is located in Fiji, which may account for the unreliable service ... but then again, who knows? We have had a mainly dry day so I took advantage of that and did the laundry and hung it out to dry. Temp today is mid 90's and high humidity. I am thankful for AC.

  1. We are doing well! It sure sounds like you have had a busy couple of days. The weather here has been really nice, mid 70's in the day and 50's at night... love that..much better than 90's. Curly hair right :)? Went to a ladies meeting last night at church, it was a salad supper, and was nice. A little long as I was pretty tired from going to southern Kansas yesterday for work.. but it was nice. Lance is working on a bid for a dr office in NC. Working from home a couple of days this week. That sure is nicer than what the last few weeks had been for him. Kids are good, except James who got a detention for his lack of completing his homework. He will learn. or not:) Savannah is doing great in school of course. She is carrying that green purse you got her around everyday. She is also been working on the purses Eric and Alisha got her for her birthday. Michael is working after school still at the church, mowing and doing odds and ends. He is excited about the mens advance, but has to go to Topeka this weekend again so he can go.. he does not like that b/c he misses a youth activity that he wants to go to, but he knows it comes with the territory. I better get to work. I love you and think of you often throughout the day. Be safe and I will "talk" to you soon.

  2. Glad to hear you were not in the path of the tsunami. Seems like a lot of bad weather in that part of the world lately. It's been wonderful here the past few days - sorry - but I think we're getting tstorms tomorrow. I guess it's a blessing that they even have internet capabilities at all in such a secluded place, so I'm thankful we're able to keep in touch as much as we can. I read dad's letter tonight at church - it was well received :) and everyone misses you.
